Berlin

Oos, I didn't realize it had been this long since I last blogged... With two trips abroad and one within the Netherlands, I've been away so much that there just hasn't been much time for extra's.

A couple of weeks ago, W and I went to Berlin for just a couple of days. We were SOOOOO lucky that those days where filled with more sun than we've had this entire summer.

We had both been to Berlin before, so the main tourist attractions could be skipped. Because of the great weather, we spent as much time outside as possible.

We went to the zoo:

We visited the Tempelhof airport, which is now turned into a park:

We cycled through Tiergarten park:

We went to a local market at Winterfeldtplatz:

 hmmmm... coffee!!

While walking back to the subway from the market, we ran into a store full of WANTIES!!!

We sort of accidentally ended up in a cafe with a wonderful garden, where a 'band' was setting up all their automated instruments. They even used blowdryers and shaving machines. It was very funny and awesome to see how sophisticated their systems worked.

We went to a fleemarket at Ostbahnhof:

W told me not to buy anything because it wouldn't fit into our suitcase anymore (I had already bought a pair of new shoes and loads of yarns, about which I'll tell more in a next post)!

All in all, we had a lovely couple of days. We enjoyed German pastry, coffee, sun and spending time together. I felt as if we'd been away for weeeeeks when we came back. Lovely lovely lovely!

This was just what I needed to get ready for fall!
