Summer!?

Hi there! How are you? Isn't it weird how quiet it can be in blogland!? I guess it's because of summertime, and people just want to enjoy life to the fullest.

Are you having summer-fun? Any trips/vacation coming up?

I wished I could pack up and leave for some sunny place to rest and up my vitamin D levels.
What about this:

Nothing of that is happening in the Netherlands at the moment. The sun only comes out now and then, for very short periods and usually when I'm at work. The garden is kind of sad, a lot of flowers just need some sun in addition to all the rain we've been having.

On the bright side: I don't have to water the garden, as I did every morning and afternoon in spring!

I have some finished projects that I would love to Ta-dah here, but with the lack of sun, it seems that taking a decent picture is quite impossible! I'm not very good at taking magazine-style pictures, but the pictures I've been taking lately are just utterly miserable.

Do you ever take pictures inside the house that turn out nicely? I would love to hear how you do that. Through pinterest, I did find some tips to take better pictures, but I don't want to spend half an hour on preparations before I can shoot away. Guess I'm just not a very patient person...

Did I tell you about my birthday!? I didn't really celebrate, because of my family and most of my friends not being able to come over. And also, I had a very very very bad toothache the days before, so my best birthday present was a root canal treatment. :s

Well, that's not true, it wasn't the best present. This was:

It's awesome, isn't it!? I've wanting a Diana for some time now, but just didn't go through with it. My dear b/f had been nagging me for weeks about how he had come up with the best present ever. He was so sure of himself, I just had to believe him. On the other hand, I don't really like surprises. Especially not when I now that it's coming, but I don't know what it is.

Well, this time, I just couldn't stop jumping up and down.

I love love love it!!

Off course, I made the first couple of pictures straight away, and within a couple of days I could have my first film developed at a local store with lots of lomo experience.

My favorites:

I'm off to work on a dress for a friends baby girl. I hope to finish it today, so that I can show it here soon.
