A friend's little girl turned 1 a couple of days ago, and I decided I wanted to make her one of the cute little dresses I had come along while browsing the web. Because of the great tutorial (sorry, only availiable in Dutch), and because I LOVE her blog, I decided to go with this one:
It's a rather easy, straightforward dress, or so I thought.
Oops... I forgot that of course I would need either a zipper or buttons, or else she would never get the dress over her cute little (ehm... well... little..) head.
I shopped around in my button-collection, but couldn't really find anything that I liked enough to finish it off with...
To take my mind of this very hard and important decision ;), I looked over some blogs and got some pins down. That's how I came across this lovely Belgian webshop. I couldn't resist temptation, and bought these fabrics:
Don't you just absolutely adore them!? I do!
I can't wait for the package to arrive!
But so, yeah. I totally forgot that I was looking for buttons for the dress... This shop has lovely printed buttons. If the dress were for myself, I probably would have bought some of those. But it being for a little girl, and wanting to make it practical to put on for her parents, I decided to go with purple press studs.
So this is what the dress looks like now (sorry, no improvement on the indoors-picture-taking skills):
I can't wait for the buttons to arrive, so that I'll be able to finish it. Hopefully the little girl and her parents will love it just as much as I do.
Goodnight!
