New Yarn

It's been a while, but I went to this crafts fair about two weeks ago. It was great fun, especially but I got to go with my mom. With my whole family living in the same small village in the east of the Netherlands, while I live in Amsterdam, I sometimes feel the odd one out. But with my rediscovering the fun of crafts over the last couple of years, I've found something that my mom and I have in common.
And so we went to the crafts fair.

We saw wonderful things:

Knotted fly curtains from Hooked's Zpagetti

Cute animals and fabrics @ Hiphandwerk:

I love love love the Melly&me patterns they showed at hiphandwerk. My all-time favorites are Hooty and Tweet:

Off course there was loads of beautiful, funny, cute stuff. But being all ecstatic about feeling and seeing all these great yarns and fabrics, I totally forgot to take more pictures.

I did buy some lovely things:

Some great hand-dyed merino lace yarn from Atelier Zitron, which I purchased at Frechener wolloase:

I'm planning on using them to knit lace scarfs. I'll show some patterns I've had my eye on in a next post.

I also came across some Garnstudio Drops Delight in the most beautiful colorways. It changes from pink, to purple, blue, and even some yellow(ish). I've been meaning to make the old rose wrap from Loop Knit Lounge:

I started making it some time ago with some sock yarn I had left. But it turned out it wasn't enough and I didn't really like the colors. I'm sure that this yarn will be perfect for it:

I'll be saving the rest of my purchases for a next post. I really really really want to get back to my granny stripe blanket. Just 5 more rows before I can start the edging!!
