Last week I went to London for a couple of days, for work. Luckily, my colleague and I planned a couple of hours for some shopping. She's into knitting, crochet etc as well, which made deciding where to go rather easy. We both know Loop knitting from their blog, and now, being so close to the store, we really wanted to go there for some serious yarn shopping.
It was amazing!!
We went to Angel station and from there walked into the very cute 'Camden Passage'. We stepped into a lovely little store where lots of Donna Wilson stuff was being sold. Oh, I wished I had brought a bigger suitcase, so that I could have bought somehting here. It's just all soooooooo cute!
My Donna Wilson wishlist (no specific order):
Oops.... I got a little sidetracked there... back to London.
After oo-ing and aaa-ing at Smug, we found Loop to be right next to it. The window display was beautiful! I loved all the knitted softies around the shop.
After going in, we were astonished by the beautiful yarns as well as the enormous assortment. You can imagine that we could not believe our eyes when it turned that it actually wasn't a one-story store. Even more yarns could be found on the 2nd floor! :)
When we finally made our decision, bought the yarns and walked out, and hour had passed.
Visiting Loop was an awesome experience and I really really really hope that I'll be able to visit the shop again some day!
Some more adventures while in London:
To regain some energy after a long day of work, we ran into a shop called 'Snog', selling frozen yoghurt. Since we're both really into frozen yoghurt, we got ourselves a lovely snog! Isn't that a funny name, their slogans are pretty awesome as well! ;)
It's a wonderful place with great frozen yoghurt (not too sweet) and tons of different toppings. If you ever run into one, don't hesitate and get one!
During lunch, we walked over to Russel Square, where lots of food was being sold because of Bloomsbury festival. I just couldn't resist these cupcakes:
I had a chocolate-raspberry one, which was sooo yummy!
This wonderful bike was standing outside a store, I wonder if anyone really uses it. It's got some really stunning details. Look at that head light! ;)
Aren't these bowls cute? Too bad I didn't have enough space in my luggage to take one or two with me. I love the colors and prints. :)
I'm off to get some knitting hours in now. With all the travelling and work requiring crazy hours at the hospital, I really have some craft-credits left that I want to use now! ;)
